Hello,
Is an official Rust support on nRf MCUs? or it is planned to officially support on the future?
Is it any BLE softdevice Rust compatible that is certified for production?
Thanks, and regards.

Hi,
Rust is not officially supported by Nordic.
Questions regarding future roadmap needs to be directed to your Nordic sales representative.
regards
Jared
Hi Nordic team,
I'd like to add another perspective to this discussion.
Over the past few years I've become increasingly interested in using Rust for embedded development, and one of the reasons Nordic devices continue to be attractive to me is the excellent support provided by the community-maintained Embassy ecosystem.
While nRF Connect SDK and Zephyr are powerful platforms, I think there is also growing demand for a Rust-based workflow, especially among developers working on long-lived products and in industries where reliability, security, and maintainability are major concerns.
From my perspective, official Rust support would make sense for several reasons:
By "official support" I don't necessarily mean replacing Zephyr or making Embassy the primary SDK. Even relatively small steps could add significant value:
As someone working on products with long maintenance lifetimes, the combination of Nordic hardware, Rust, and Embassy is extremely compelling. Official support from Nordic would significantly increase my confidence in selecting this stack for future projects.
I'd be interested to hear whether Nordic has considered deeper collaboration with the Embassy project or whether there are any plans in this area.
