nrf5340 littleFs QSPI write file too slow

Hi!

I have a W25Q128 with QSPI interface attached to my board.Using the litlleFS file system, about 27KB files are written every 1s.I was stunned by the write speed, it was too slow for 27KB to take more than 600 ms.I thought it might worth posting something here as well to see if anyone else has run into any similar issues.

The NOR flash architecture that our QSPI peripheral supports is in general pretty slow at writing data, as it is designed for XIP (execute in place) and thus reading data quickly. I don't think 27kB in 760ms is too bad. There are some older cases describing the expected write speeds for the MX25 NOR flash on the nRF52840 DK for example. 

Since you say you're writing 27kB every 1 second, it seems like you're within the time limit though, so is this an issue?

Occasionally, there was a delay, and the write time was up to 6497ms.In littlefs_close (struct fs_file_t *fp) this function takes too long，I think it's the same as qspi reasons.
