New to creating my own board

Hi everyone,

I'm new to building my own custom board.

I'm trying to connect analog accelerometer, temperature sensor and uv sensors to nRF52820.

I'm also want to be able to communicate to my computer through bluetooth. Since I'm new to this field, I have no idea where to even start.. I'm also trying to connect solar panel to power the chip.

Can someone please help me?

You can start by looking at thingy53 (although the process is a different one, but the principles are the same)

First you need to define how much power (V/Ah) you would need to draw from your board and then fit the solar panel accordingly (probably with a backup battery and PMIC to manage the input sources).

We built it to help anyone get started with the nRF Connect SDK. We also released the Intermediate level of this course. There are currently also Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Cellular courses with more in development. Our SDK is incredibly powerful and flexible; that means it's also complex. I want to get my schematic ready so that I can start program it on it.

How do I get started on this??

Meaning schematic capture and layout for designing a circuit board? I was assuming you meant creating a "board" in Zephyr, which is really a set of files that specifies how hardware is configured. If you mean about how to design a circuit board, then we do not have materials for this. I would personally suggest looking at understanding our software and how to functionally connect the hardware for development and get all of that working before I'd lay out custom hardware.

I'm happy to get on a call with you sometime to discuss getting started in hardware design. It's a huge topic but I'm happy to help point you in the right direction.
