Matter light bulb in more than one device

Hi, I have two nRF52840-DK boards and I'm testing matter light bulb example.

If I load the project in one board it works fine when I link it with virtual assistant like Alexa, but when I upload the same project in the second board the virtual assistant doesn't recognize the second board like a another device, virtual assistant recognize both boards as the same device.

There is a configuration like a number ID or another parameter that I can change to allow differentiate both boards with the same project?

Hi,

A unique node ID has to be either generated manually through CHIP Tool as seen in the steps in the commissioning steps in https://developer.nordicsemi.com/nRF_Connect_SDK/doc/latest/nrf/samples/matter/light_bulb/README.html#bind-both-devices under the testing part of the sample documentation. Or through commercial methods specific to the commercial vendors.

Hi,

Since it's 1.5 years since this original case was raised, quite a few things has changed since then. One of them being the platform for our documentation which has changed from developer.nordicsemi to docs.nordicsemi. We don't have any video tutorials for the original question, unfortunately
