3-wire WiFi Coexistence Support in NRF5 SDK

Hello,

I'm trying to get an IEEE 802.15.2 3-wire coexistence interface working between an NRF52833 and a wifi SOC. While documentation is provided for doing this in the NRF Connect SDK, on our product we need to maintain an existing codebase in the NRF5 SDK.

I don't see any way to enable wifi coexistence in the NRF5 SDK, can someone at Nordic offer guidance for how to do this?

Hi, 

Unfortunately, nRF5 SDK doesn't support wifi coexistence. Please upgrade to nRF Connect SDK. 

Please be aware that the nRF5 SDK is in maintained mode. That means it won't be added any new features. I would suggest you start the project with nRF Connect SDK. See nRF Connect SDK and nRF5 SDK statement

Thanks for the reply, this is not an option in our case. Are there API hooks into the softdevice such that we could implement the interface ourselves? IE set up softdevice hooks to drive the BT_ACT line when there's radio activity, and defer activity when WIFI_ACT is detected as being high?

Hi, 

Radio notification can be used for driving BT_ACT line. Similar to PA/LNA below. However, I couldn't find an API/hook to defer BLE activity while WIFI_ACT is active so far.
