PPK2 does not enumerate as a USB device

Hello,

I have just bought a PPK2 from Digikey. I installed latest nRFConnect on my laptop and followed the instructions.

When I plug my PPK2, I see a quick blink in RED and then a slow GREEN glow.

Unfortunately I can't go further as it does not show up as a USB device on my laptop. I have checked I am plugged in the DATA/POWER USB socket. (I have tried the other socket and result is obviously identical)

I tried to start in Bootloader mode (by shorting TP34 and ground during power-up). I get fixed RED and still no USB shows up.

I also tried on my desktop computer : same, no USB device found.

What can I try?

Hi,

for a very strange reason, it works now. I have no idea why as I haven't changed anything.

Is it because I have put it in Bootloader mode once?

I tried again this morning and suddenly it enumerated. I also managed to see the PPK2 in the list of devices in nrfConnect and it works fine.

We can close the ticket.

Hello,

I am glad to hear that it is working now.

You can always put the power profiler in bootloader mode by opening it in the programmer app. Then, when you open the device inside the power profiler, it will prompt you to programme the latest available firmware.
