Hi,
Is there any existing support for an e-ink display interfacing with the nRF52840? Something that already has an existing LVGL driver and can be integrated with an nRF Connect SDK application?
Thanks!

Hi,
It should be possible to integrate e-ink display with the nRF52840DK. We have the LVGL sample for the nRF Connect SDK.
Moreover, you can request sample code or driver for this, from E-ink by requesting them.

Priyanka

Thanks for pointing me to the example. I will check it out.
Regarding "e-ink", I used this as a generic term similar to "e-paper" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electronic_paper) and not referring to the specific EInk brand. Does the Nordic team have any input on any e-paper technology display that's supported by LVGL?
Hello Mohammad,
Zephyr supports a few different e-ink displays from Waveshare, the list (which lists some display part numbers, some display IC part numbers) is available here:
docs.zephyrproject.org/.../index.html
There are a few Waveshare offerings from this list. Others are available. For a full list of display ICs supported in Zephyr check here:

Hi Priyanka ,
I am also working on a TFT display (http://www.lcdwiki.com/3.5inch_RPi_Display) this is the board which I am working with. The board has ili9486 controller IC. But the zephyr examples are only based on ILI9481 & ILI9488. Can you suggest me what approach should I take?
Thanks!!!
Hi,
You could maybe try to use the ILI9488 driver as a starting point, since it's the closest match to your ILI9486 controller. You would need to modify the driver to match the specifications of the ILI9486 controller. This would also involve understanding the differences between the ILI9486 and ILI9488 controllers and adjusting the driver code accordingly. I cannot comment more on this as I feel it would be a better question for the Zephyr community and they might be able to help you more regarding this. Please try reaching out to the Zephyr forum.
Regards,
Priyanka
Thanks Priyanka
