Local date/time on nrf9160

Hi, 

I am working with the nrf9160 and need to get the current date / time.  It looks like overall this is pretty simple to do, but I had a question about local time.

Using 

date_time_now_local

  how is the current time zone set?  Does it take into account daylight savings time automatically?

Hi Dave,

The function mentioned does not account for the daylight savings change. You can read more about this in the leap seconds and time zones documentation.

You can use the AT Command Proprietary clock %CCLK in order to read the current time and daylight saving time. But do note that not all networks provide the required information t do the change, nor can the highest accuracy requirements be guaranteed, either.
