power consumption

hello,

I made a development board using the nrf52840 module.

What methods are there to measure power consumption?

I know of two methods: measuring with the Power Profiler Kit II or by serially connecting a resistor at the power supply terminal and measuring its voltage to calculate the current.

Are there any other methods besides these?

The most accurate one I think would be to use a high-end oscilloscope the same way as you'd use the PPK2, or to use a power supply with a built in amperemeter that would tell you the power consumption when powering a device. However, this is more of a generic electrical question than a question connected to the nRF products. Is there anything special you need to measure the current of, where using a multimeter or the PPK2 won't cut it?

    Best regards,
