ANT series Example confusions

Hi all,

I'm a beginner of Nordic system, I use nRF52832(PCA10040) to develop my project, here is my properties:

Board:                                     nRF52832
nRF5 SDK Version:                17.1.0
Soft device:                             S212  6.1.0
SES version:                           V5.32

There is no problem using the peripheral examples, even though BLE.

But when trying examles of ANT series, even though I have no error when building and download,

I can not connect my board to my ANT device, neither Garmin watch nor ANT stick......
and when I try to debuging, ses show the window below,

this result only occur in ANT example, and debug show "unknown function at 0xFFFFFFFE",

the system seems be protected so I can't debug...

This situation confused me for several days, need help....

Hello,

Can you share a picture of the DK you are using? Is this a DK made by Nordic or third party?

If you are using nRF5 SDK v17.1 you should be using SES v5.42a, see release notes:

Also, you can install latest nRF Command line tools from here:
https://www.nordicsemi.com/Products/Development-tools/nRF-Command-Line-Tools/Download

Here is my DK pic. I use NRF52 DK.

Thanks your information, and I update my SES to v5.42a, but cannot fix this situation.

At least you remind me that I need to update to a suitable version.

What does it look like if you type "nrfjprog --version" in a command line window?

Have you programmed the S212 softdevice? e.g. "nrfjprog --program s212...hex"

 I use SES programmed it before, step below

Can be programmed and run smoothly.

Earlier I used the method you mentioned.

And when I debugging, it still show "Stop by vector catch".

If you click Erase All in SES it will also erase the softdevice, so you should only Ctrl+T, L (Download).

Oh...I see, I did not program "ANT_s212_nrf52810_nrf52832_6.1.1.hex" first, so if I only program ANT_hrm, and start it, flash will be directed to 0x12000.

However, after I programmed it, it was able to make the system jump to 0x12000 whem the system was turned on, right?
