The nRF24L01+ is a just a radio transceiver - it is up to the system designer to choose & implement whatever protocol they wish in order to achieve their design goals.

Like awnell said there is no standard that is explicitly supported or recommended by Nordic for this chip. This is because its simple to use radio, most of the standards must be simple to implement with it.
