iPhone 15 BLE throughput with NRF52840DK with image transfer example

Hi,

We are evaluating Nordic BLE chip as part of our future product, and we want to know the maximum throughput between iPhone and Nordic. I am trying to use the below example to measure throughput:

Looking at the repo, it seems it's last updated in 2017, and I wonder if this is still a good example to measure max throughput with latest iPhone.

I also found the Android example contains actual measurements but iPhone doesn't. I found a few articles saying 50KB/s is about max for iPhones but I wonder if this is up to date number. 

Can someone share insights? Thanks!

You are right that this is quite outdated. It might still give valid results, but I would recommend testing this with a more updated version.

We have the throughput sample in NCS;

https://developer.nordicsemi.com/nRF_Connect_SDK/doc/latest/nrf/samples/bluetooth/throughput/README.html

Which you can use it to determine the maximum throughput, or to experiment with different connection parameters and check their impact on the throughput.
This is meant to be used to test between two development kits. I haven't tested using this between phone -> development kit, but you could use it as a template.

Other than that, I don't think we have an out of the box sample to test the throughput to the mobil device.
