Software disable SHPHLD button in nPM1300

Hi.

Can you please tell me if there is a way to disable the SHPHLD button in nPM1300? In my application, at certain times it is necessary to disable the SHPHLD button so that when it is pressed nothing happens, including reset. Is there any way to do this by changing any register?

Or is the only way to do it is to break the communication line on the PCB?

Hi,

Please take a look at the following discussions:

1. Here they try to disable the reset function when the SHPHLD button is pressed for a long time by writing 0x01 to the LPRESETCONFIG register.

2. Trying to change the debounce tie for waking up.

But other than these, I guess you will have to resort to the hardware change by breaking the communication line on the PCB.
