nRF52840 VIH MAX voltage is VDD

The datasheet specify  VIH  is   min=0.7xVDD   and    max=VDD  [V]

(from  datasheet V1.6    6.9.3.1  GPIO Electrical Specification  page 159 )

I need to connect the nRF52840  (Power by VBAT which is 3V  down to 2.1V )   in SPI to another MCU which use constant DC2DC 2.7V

Does the definition     VIH   max=VDD      is correct or a mistake?  On other MCUs  usually the VIH   max=VDD+0.5V    so the margin is 0.5V above the VDD of the nRF52840

Thanks

Yes, I think the product specification is correct. Apart from the specification you pointed out, there is an absolute maximum rating section(Page No: 623, PS) that shows the maximum rating you can apply, or, I would say, the maximum ratings we have tested. So we recommend smooth working inside this bracket, and values outside have not been tested here.
