power consumption nRf9160

Hi

I have a question regarding the power consumption of my own PCB.

I have taken a power profile of the nRF9160DK dev board and of my own PCB with the same software, but the devolpment board consumes +/-250mA when I am communicating with an AWS service and with my own PCB it is +/- 600mA.

Could this be a setting in the LTE modem?

Hello,

The device negotiates the transmission power with the network/base station. It could be that the antenna setup on the custom board works worse than the one on the DK, which makes the network request a higher transmission power.
