nrf51422 debug error

Hello,

I am using version 12.3.0 of the nRF5 SDK for the nRF51422 development board. I opened the 'ble_app_hrs' example code in IAR Embedded Workbench and successfully built the project. However, when I tried to debug the project, it did not enter the main function. When I press continue, the code runs, but I cannot add breakpoints.

Can anyone help solve this problem with how to enable the debug mode?

Hello,

Did you flash the Softdevice binary? If so, what does the program counter (PC) register read if you pause the debugger? The Softdevice must be programmed separately as it is not included in the hex file from the build. Also, please note the nRF51 is not recommended for new designs.
