Hi, Antonius.
Could you elaborate a bit? Do you mean to solder on a connector to connect an external antenna for testing, or usage in a final product, or do you mean to solder on an antenna cable to perform conducted measurements?
Best regards,
Mathias

Hi Mathiaso,
Thanks for the reply,
We mean, to solder on an antenna cable on the PCB antenna, and cut the PCB antenna off.
What do you suggest ? Any software from nRF can be used for testing ?
Which SDK software and tool ?
Kind regards,
Ok. So you want to solder a coaxial cable to the RF trace to perform conducted measurements? In that case, you should try to connect it close to the radio-matching network. Also, make sure to have a ground area available where you can solder the shielding of the cable to ground.
The Radio test sample might be what you are looking for.
Hi Mathiaso,
Thanks for the reply,
We have tried cutting the PCB antenna, and it works,
only behaving strangely, both cadence and speed data are ok, but heart rate is on and off,
We're going to try different model of antenna.
It's working very well with this antenna but with bigger PCB footprint, the current one is smaller.
Thanks for the software suggestion, have you tried with nRF52840, with ANT+ ?
Kind regards
I'm glad to hear you got it to work.
The radio test firmware linked to earlier is the primary firmware used for hardware verification.
