Simply curious why there are three copies of them?
It is because VS Code seem to be following symbolic links for its search.
To disable the functionality, see https://github.com/microsoft/vscode/issues/71533.
If I look in that folder, it just looks like this:
But if I list it more detailed from the command line (I use linux, but it should be similar in windows):
As you can see, "include" and "include_zephyr" points to similar directories. Specifically, "include_zephyr" is a subsection of "include"
Therefore, if your search will search both of these paths, it will find the same define in both these.
