External antenna on MM8130-2600 connector

Hi,

I have designed a custom board, but after production, we are receiving very poor RSSI. I am looking to add an external antenna to the board to see if it can improve the signal strength. The board has an MM8130-2600 connector. Can you recommend any type of BLE antenna that would be suitable?

Hi, Fabrice.

I'm afraid I can't recommend a specific external antenna. Most external antennas designed for the correct frequency band should work ok.

That's a bit hard to say, Fabrice. But possibly, yes. It depends on the casing, etc. If you have a casing that is quite reflective, moving the antenna outside of this will likely have a positive effect.
