If the legacy USB Driver for J-Link is not installed on Windows, some nRF DK boards do not show up in the device list in the nRF Connect for Desktop tools.
The latest nRF Connect for Desktop 5.0 installer installs an older V7.94e version of the Segger J-Link tools. This version of the installer does not include the option to "Install legacy USB Driver for J-Link":
However, later versions of the J-Link installer include the option to "Install legacy USB Driver for J-Link". When this option is checked, these nRF DK boards appear correctly in the nRF Connect for Desktop tools:
