How to remove debug info from Map files ?

Hello Team,

We are trying to make Release and Debug mode for our software.When I compile a sample program I see lot of Debug information in the Mapfile. Will this influnce the final hex ? How can we remove/disable this data from Map files ?

Debug symbols will not influence the final .hex. To read more about .map files, you can see this article:

How can we remove/disable this data from Map files ?

To my knowledge, it is not possible to avoid debug/discarded section being populated in a .map file.
