nRF52840 UART output for coprocessor

Dear all:

        I have prepare env for border router successfully following this link(developer.nordicsemi.com/.../tools.html, Raspberry Pi4 and nRF52840(RCP: radio coprocessor) connected via USB.

        Now I want to change USB to UART between Pi4 and nRF52840, what else needs to be done?

        I have done this things:

        1. config Pi4 UART0 pass that TX and RX successfully

        2. build coprocessor load(UART transport), and download it to nRF52840

        I have noticed that P06(TX) and P08(RX) as UART port in nRF52840, How can I set RCP output from the UART?

        Besides, maybe extra some settings in Pi4 and nRF52840, I hope to learn from professionals who are willing to guide me, thx

Hello Chuan,

Please check the documentation of the Thread Co-Processor sample.

In addition, the configuring a radio co processor documentation may be helpful.

Basically, if you build this sample for the nRF52840 DK it should default to using the UART. All the samples that are configured to use UART will use pins P0.06 and P0.08, as these are routed to the onboard debugger. Therefore, you can use it by using the USB cable connected on J2 on the DK. But you can also connect the pins (6 and 8) directly to your RPi header if you have set it up to use this.

        I have configured RPi4 as well as nRF52840DK done, and connect them with UART cable pass.
