52833: After shutting down with nrfpower_system_off

52833: After shutting down with nrfpower_system_off: 1. It is not possible to immediately power off and restart, and it will take a few minutes to enter the working state;. 2. To enter the working state, press the button method. Can you enter the working state without pressing the button, instead of waiting for a few minutes before turning on the power after the power is turned off?

  • Hi

Taking "a few minutes" to power back up sounds impossible, it should take less than a second for the device to start up, so this doesn't make much sense to me. What SDK version and what application are you working on here?

Are you able to reproduce this on a DK? Also, please be more specific on what you're doing and how long the restart takes exactly? Do you have any logs or anything showing what could go wrong?

    Best regards,

    Simon

  • Simon, Thank you for your reply. When I turn off the power and turn it on again, I don't have a good experience even if I have an interruption of more than 1 second. This is because if our customers see that the power is turned off and there is no action when restarting, they think it is broken, instead of turning off the switch and letting them waste time waiting before turning it on again; Because I don't have external buttons (and system specified methods) to wake up; I can only turn off the power again. Under normal circumstances, turning on or off is also a reset, and it should be reset to my application. Why is this happening? Are there any other advanced settings?

  • Hi

You will have to be more specific as to what is happening here exactly. What do you mean by "I don't have a good experience" when turning power off and on again? Are you able to recreate this on an nRF52833 DK or just on your custom board?

How do you turn the device off/on in your application code exactly?

    Best regards,

    Simon
