How to access the DECT-NR+ physical layer

For several months now, we've been hearing that developers can start developing DECT-NR+ applications. The following sources are a few examples:

However, there is currently no way of finding documentation concerning development.

Nordic proposes two partners (Wirepas and Lynq) but the above sources clearly indicate that it is not necessary to go through these third party software providers to develop an application.

As a lucky owner of several nRF9161s, what is the procedure for starting DECT-NR+ application development by accessing only the physical layer (sending commands to the modem)?

First you have to contact your Regional Sales Manager to obtain the DECT NR+ PHY modem firmware and afterwards you can start developing.
