What version of Zephyr is being used for nrfConnect for VSC version 2.6.1

I am using nrfConnect for Visual Studio Code 2.6.1 and I am being asked what version of Zephyr I am using when diagnosing a problem in a Zephyr forum. There has to be some way to communicate the baseline version of Zephyr used for situations like this. Is there an answer I can give? The question is:

"...could you please provide more information regarding which Zephyr version you are using"

The version of Zephyr is going to be set in the west manifest of the SDK.

For v2.6.1, it is here: https://github.com/nrfconnect/sdk-nrf/blob/v2.6.1/west.yml#L62-L76.

There you will find that the Zephyr version is sdk-zephyr, Nordic's downstream fork of the Zephyr RTOS. The version is v3.5.99-ncs1-1, indicating a modified version of Zephyr v3.5.0.
