Power calculation

Hi,

for example i ran ble_app_hrs application in pca1001 eval board with fallowing condition.

1.there is no time out for advertisement, means advertisement is always on.

2.advertisement interval is 25 ms.

3.radio tx_power is +4 dbm.

4.total 9 timers are running.

5.there is no led operation for advertisement.

what will current consumed by board.

if battery is 40 mAh, how many days it will come.

Kindly tell me,with some calculation.

With an advertising interval of 25 ms, +4 dBm TX power and 10 B advertisement data, you should expect about 1.1 mA average current consumption.

PS: Nagging doesn't give you a quicker answer, and answering your own question easily causes it to be lost among the others already answered but unresolved ones.

The best way to do this is with a 'scope to understand the duty-cycles of the various power stages and then attribute the current draw to each of these stages.

There's too many 'moving parts' in terms of varying currents to do this via a simple empirical formula.
