Our offshore hardware team is looking to verify their hardware using a R&S CMW500 configured as an access point. They have noticed that the release notes for SDK 2.4.0 mention that support was added for "interoperation with CMW500 configured as an access point". (nRF Connect SDK v2.4.0 Release Notes (nordicsemi.com)). It's my understanding that they need the ability to automatically power on and off wifi, and automatically connect to the CMW500 access point without a password.
What exactly was done between SDK 2.3.0 and 2.4.0 to support "interoperation with CMW500 configured as an access point"?
We have created a manufacturing build that incorporates the sample code nrf_radio_wifi_test_shell.c which enables test commands that are documented here: Sample description (nordicsemi.com) Is there a way to connect to an access point using the nrf_radio_wifi_test_shell.c commands?
Alternatively, are there other samples that would be better to provide our HW team for RF testing using the CMW500 in access point mode?
