[MCU BOOT] Start mcu boot at runtime

Hello Nordic team,

I was wondering if it's possible to start the MCU boot from the application at runtime.

What I want is to be able to restart my product and run the MCU boot to perform DFU from the app source code it self (activated by a HID command).

Hello Martin,

You can call sys_reboot(0); to reset into the bootloader. To use this function, you simply include <zephyr/sys/reboot.h> in your source file and select CONFIG_REBOOT in your project configuration file. But you also need a way to signal the bootloader to enter serial recovery mode and not boot back into the application after the reset.

Ok thanks for the quick answer !

What I'm facing now is that my mcu goes into boot mode even if i press my button less than 

CONFIG_BOOT_USB_DFU_DETECT_DELAY.

It seems that it doesn't have any effect on the button detection.

 

Do you have any idea why ?

Ok sry It was a wrong configuration everything works now.
