nRF Connect Extension for VS code not working

Question

Hello, I have the latest VS code and extension versions. But the extension does not display anything. Seems to be stuck. 
 
 Please let me know how I can fix this issue.

Just to debug the issue at hand, could you please try installing the SDK using nrfutil toolchain manager to see if this fails as well? Or even try it with the Toolchain Manager found in our nRF Connect for Desktop application. 
 Have not asked this before, but have been able to use the VS code extension before?
