Nordic Thingy:53 and nPM1100 Battery

From what I understand, the nPM1100 can work without the battery (i.e. no BAT connection).

Does the Nordic Thingy:53 come with the Li-Po battery separated or is it mounted on the board? Our application in rugged temperature conditions may not be suitable for a Li-Po battery. Is removing the battery feasible?

The Nordic Thingy:53 comes with a rechargeable LiPo battery, which can be detached from the board by disconnecting it from the J3 connector. Simply remove the case and unplug the battery.
