nrf9160 network connection

Good day

I have a custom board using an nrf9160 device.  On the board I am running a variation of a lwm2m client.  I have a question regarding a network connection.  Why is it that sometimes the modem will not connect to the network without a hard reboot.  Is there any reason why this is happening and how do i mitigate it? I am using SDK version 2.5.0

    of course there should be a reason for this, but it's hard to tell with out AT cmd logs and so forth. How to mitigate would probably depend on the reason for not connecting. Again, include logs and preferably also modem traces so the issue can be identified.
