Hi,
I'm trying to remove the bonding (pairing) using the existing function ( delete_bonds() ) in the "ble_app_hids_keyboard" Sample Application from the SDK "nRF5_SDK_17.1.0_ddde560".
I added the following to implement this feature. My intention is when i tap the BSP_EVENT_KEY_1, i want to remove all the paired devices.
/**@brief Function for handling events from the BSP module. * * @param[in] event Event generated by button press. */ static void bsp_event_handler(bsp_event_t event) { //------------------------------------------------------ //some existing code in the example app //------------------------------------------------------ /* my code to delete the bonds */ case BSP_EVENT_KEY_1: delete_bonds(); break; //------------------------------------------------------ }
But when i tap the BSP_EVENT_KEY_1 (in Debug mode), It returns the following error.
"ERROR 18 [NRF_ERROR_CONN_COUNT]" at the function call ble_advertising_start(&m_advertising, BLE_ADV_MODE_FAST); .
My current understanding is when i call the "delete_bonds()" function, it actually is doing "pm_peers_delete();" which will delete the paired devices from the memory and we will get an event call back as PM_EVT_PEERS_DELETE_SUCCEEDED. And from there the app calls the advertising_start(bool erase_bonds); function this is where the ble_advertising_start called and application stops.
I've also tried "sd_ble_gap_disconnect(m_cur_conn_handle, BLE_HCI_REMOTE_USER_TERMINATED_CONNECTION);" function before calling the ble_advertising_start function. still the issue persists.
I don't know whether this is the way to do this. but also i couldn't find a solution from web or SDK examples.
What's causing this? Is it a known bug? How could I fix this?
