5340 power consumption

I have a few questions regarding the power consumption calculation of the network and application cores from the 5340:

1. With the assumption that all peripherals are turned off

   Can the power consumption results shown on the Online Power Profiler for Bluetooth LE webpage be understood as the combined power consumption of BLE communication and the network core domain?

2. When only maintaining the BLE connection without needing to update sensor readings, is it possible to put the application core into low power mode independently and have it be awakened by the network core when necessary to save power?

Hello!

1. Yes this is the combined current consumption

2. No you can not turn off the application core. However, the application core itself does not really consume any current, since the application CPU will halt when there are no threads running. Put in another way, the application core will always return to the lowest power state automatically when not running any code.
