How to enable provisioning of eSIM (not SIM card, but eSIM IC) over-the-air

We have a custom board with an nRF9160 directly connected to a SIM-S-IO3-MFF2-2 IC.  I understand these kinds of eSIMs in IOT devices are typically provisioned over-the-air.  What sequence of AT Commands needs to be sent to the nRF9160 modem in order for a network provider (e.g. iBASIS) to be able to see the device on the network and then provision it?  Is there any other configuration data that needs to be given to the nRF9160 modem firmware to enable this process?

I apologize if this information is readily available in a document - I did try looking.
