When I configure the nRF52-DK as an nrf Sniffer device, Wireshark cannot find the nrf Sniffer device.

nrfutil install ble-sniffer

nrfutil device program --serial-number 682436278 --firmware sniffer_nrf52dk_nrf52832_4.1.1.hex
[00:00:01] ###### 100% [2/3 682436278] Programmed

nrfutil ble-sniffer bootstrap --extcap-dir "d:\Program Files\Wireshark\extcap"
Bootstrapping ble-sniffer...
Bootstrap succeeded

  • Hello

One of the links you referenced involves using nrfutil, whereas the method I suggested in my previous response does not rely on that tool. Both approaches should work, though it seems there might be a compatibility issue related to the nrfutil version or the installed BLE sniffer package.

Please review the requirements section carefully to ensure that all dependencies are met.

I hope the method I provided has helped resolve your issue and that you're now able to capture the packets successfully. However, if you're still encountering difficulties, feel free to reach out, and I'd be happy to assist further.

    Best regards,
