Zigbee: how to change the build rules in my project to link with libzboss.a from \nrfxlib\zboss\development instead of \nrfxlib\zboss\production

Hi,

I have a project using Zigbee and NRF5340.

I'm facing a "zboss_osif ZBOSS fatal error occurred" from ZBOSS lib after few days of operation.

I'm wondering if the development lib flavor would give me more debug info.

Hi,

Great to hear that you figured it out!

Please note that the development version has experimental features enabled and uses a version of the ZBOSS libraries that is different from the production version. Additionally, the development variant of the ZBOSS libraries was removed in v2.6.0, see nRF Connect SDK v2.6.0 Release Notes.

Which version of the nRF Connect SDK are you using? It could be that the issues you are seeing have been fixed in a newer release of the SDK or that the problem is on the list of known issues.

We are using ncs 2.5.2. We'll port to latest only if there are significant changes to the ZBOSS lib; we have limited ressources to work on this.

Latest is 2.7.0 right? Is there a 2.7.1 coming soon, we hate working with minor version # = 0 :) ?

Hi,

You can see the changes to ZBOSS in the ZBOSS release notes and nrfxlib - ZBOSS Zigbee stack changelog. These are the ZBOSS versions used by the different nRF Connect SDK versions:

• nRF Connect SDK v2.5: ZBOSS 3.11.2.1 (production)
• nRF Connect SDK v2.6: ZBOSS 3.11.3.0
• nRF Connect SDK v2.7: ZBOSS 3.11.4.0

Correct, v2.7.0 is the latest release. I am not aware of any plans to release v2.7.1. I am not able to answer questions about the roadmap or timeline, but you can try to ask your local sales representative from Nordic Semiconductor for information about our timeline.
