SIM stopped connecting with the LTE network

Hello, I was wondering if somebody has an explanation (or has seen the same problem) for the following event:

We have had 5 units with NRF9160-B0 in the field for testing during a music event. At one point 3 units stopped sending data an refused to come back online.
The units were retrieved and when tested, they started up, tried to connect and then rebooted, and this process then repeats.
The SIMS where working fine before, also they are now not registering in the Jasper Wireless Control Center, that's how I check if the device registers with the network.

I then inserted one of the SIMS into a Cellular Access-Point I have for testing, This device connected to the network and allowed me to send data over the internet.
Then I re-inserted the SIM into the NRF9160-B0 device and low and behold it also connected again and started sending data.
After this I took the second device, restarted it over a period of 10 minutes to make sure that it failed to connect to the internet. Put that SIM into my test Cellular AP, waited for it to connect and re-inserted the SIM into the NRF9160-BO device. After this it also reconnected to the internet and began sending data again.

We had one prototype with a NRF9160-B1 (with the latest firmware) and used the SIM from the 3rd device to test if it would connect with this SIM.
The NRF9160-B1 did connect and after it did I put the SIM back in the NRF9160-B0 and it also connected again.

What we would like to know if this a know issue as it seems to be solved in the NRF9160-B1 with the latest 3.x firmware?
And if it is know, will be fixed in the 2.X version as we still have a number of NRF9160-B0 chips around.

Kind regards,
Frank.
