SPI on QSPI pins (NRF52840 DK

Hi there,

I am using the NRF52840DK development board as a learing experience.   I have used the EXCERCISE8 on the Nordic learning program and created a SPI driver for a simple device.  This works when the pins are NOT linked to QSPI pins.   The SPI pins are allocated in the Overlay.

How can I use these pins as I have a small board attached?    I have tried hacking the DTSI but cant get anything out of those pins when used as SPI. (all other pins work)

How to disable QSPI? - I have no intest in using the perpipheral and its wasting valiable IO space.

I have checked the configs .. SPI is configured on the correct pins - QSPI is disabled - but yet, I get no data on MOSI and CS.   Clock works as its not on a QSPI pin.

Not sure if this will help; note QSPI signals connected to the flash cannot be used when SW6 is in the nRF_ONLY position as the signals will back-drive the flash (because no voltage on Flash VCC) and therefore not work as expected. If SW6 nRF_ONLY position is required the flash links to those pins SB10-SB15 must all be broken (disconnected).

Thanks! ... I went through the scematics and figure out there were a ton of dogbones/bowties that needed to be modified!   Thanks for the hints ..

I joined SBxx links and its all good!   I can see signals. I can sleep tonight knowing it works
