Segger embedded studio nordic license activation issue

Dear Team,

I installed segger embedded studio in my PC for working with nordic nRF52840-DK.

After that I downloaded the nordic license and it was activated.Perfect.

When I connected the nRF52840-DK some issues happened (I will post it as separate thread) and I completely uninstalled Embedded studio.(Type %LOCALAPPDATA% in the search field and press enter to open the local application data folder.)

After that I again installed Segger Embedded studio and generated nordic license again.I tried to activate with this new license .But it is not working.
As of now I generated four or five licenses,but none of them is working.
I am not able to activate segger embedded studio .
Can you please help me to solve this issue.

Hi Hari,

Which SDK are you working with? Is it the nRF Connect SDK or the nRF5SDK?

Hi,

I understand that you are working on the nRF52840DK. But I would like to know which SDK you are working with?

There are two SDKs:

1. nRF Connect SDK (this is the latest one and we currently recommend this on the latest DKs)

2. nRF5SDK (this is the old SDK and you can use this, but though not depleted, we are not brining any new developments on this, just maintaining it)

In case you are using the nRF Connect SDK, you don't require the SES, rather you can use the nRF Connect for Desktop Application and use the VSCode for your developments.

The main issues is that I am not an embedded developer.

Currently I need connect a sensor to this board.(nRF52840-DK)

Attached is the instruction given to me from the embedded team.

Hi,

From the screenshot that you have attached, it does not specify which SDK you are working on. It would be great to know this, because if it's the nRF Connect SDK, then for versions later than v1.7.x, we do not have SEGGER support and we recommend using the VSCode for the same.

You have still not answered the most important question about which SDK you are using.

As explained in my earlier comment, there are two SDKs

As per your screenshot, click on Manage SDKs -> Install SDK -> and select the same version of your installed Toolchain.

Hi,

It looks like you have the nRF Connect SDK and Toolchain as well as the VSCode extension installed. Now you should be able to create your projects using the nRF Connect SDK, as per the documentation.
