Can i connect to nrf51 without advertising

I wonder if I can connect to my device without advertising in order to save energy just by knowing the device address

No, this is not possible. You could use directed advertising and synchronize your advertising to scanning to reduce connection time. If you configure your FW correctly advertising shouldn't consume alot of power.
