Can NB-IoT (NB-1/NB-2) Supports the SMS service in nRF9160 module?

I am developing a device that uses the NB-IoT network. I would like to know if the NB-IoT module of the nRF9160 supports SMS. If it does, will it provide an SMS delivery report?

I an going to use nRF9160 module and nrf connect SDK version 2.6.0.

Hello, 

Yes, the nRF9160 does support SMS using SMS commands through the AT interface. We have a Celluar: SMS sample that demonstrates how you can send and receive SMS messages with your nrf9160 module. 

Please reach out to your local network to ensure SMS support for NB-IoT.
