Defining static partitions in NC2.7 (sysbuild vs partition manger)

I can't find any documentation on how you are supposed to define partitions in NCS 2.7 when using MCUboot.
Previously Partition Manager was responsible for this and was overriding definitions in the board devicetree. Though now that the old muilt-image build system is deprecated with 2.7 how do things work now?

I would like to have this information in devicetree and it seems with sysbuild this would now be the preferred way? Though for some reason partition manager still gets build and overrides the partition map defined in devicetree. How do you disable this and have the definitions from the devicetree be applied to both the app and mcuboot build?

Hi TImon,

In v2.7, the support for using the Partition Manager for an image has been moved to sysbuild. You must update your applications to select the required Kconfig options at the sysbuild level for applications to work. If these options are not set, firmware updates may not work or images may fail to boot. so for static partitions I still have to use partition manager and device tree definitions are ignored?
