DECT NR+ coexistence with existing IP DECT

Hi 

I have seen that IP DECT and DECT NR+ use the same frequency band in EU (1880-1900 MHz). Will setting up a NR+ system in the same place as IP DECT degrade the performance on any of the systems?  Or are they designed to coexist without any limits or degradations?

Hi Lars,

This is what I heard from the team: "DECT NR has coexistence mechanisms, select least used channel and avoid busy slots. There has been lots of simulation and discussion on this in standardization and the error caused is under 1% -- If there is free space for NR system to use.  But if the existing IP system uses 80% of all channels capacity, more errors is caused.  We only have a PHY, so these avoidance mechanisms are on MAC layer, and either they need to make it or license from Wirepas or Lynq."
