nRF51822 Development kit: no board visualized on nRFgo studio

Hi all,

I am trying to use for the first time my nRF51822 development kit, following the "Development Kit User Guide v1.3". The problem is that when I open "nRFgo studio" I cannot see any Board on the "Device Manager", and for this reason I cannot continue the procedure.

Looking on the motherboard all looks fine: all the cables are connected and green leds (VCC,VTG) are lighting up. Also the green led on the J-link lite emulator is light up. On the other hand, my motherboard is not showing any Board ID.

Does anybody know what I am missing? Thank you in advance.

  • Hi Nicola, Did you ever figure out the problem? I have the same problem, and I am wondering if you solved it already. :) -ji

UPDATE: I found that even though the board doesn't show up in the Motherboard list and that the 8 segment display doesn't show a board ID, the blinky example programs and kinda works. The documentation says that it blinks LED0-LED7, but on my board, it just toggles between LED0 and LED1. At least it does something.
