How do I make the set ble name take effect in run-time?

Hi,

I used the sdk version 17.1.0 and the protocol stack version s113. In the example project, the gap_params_init function calls sd_ble_gap_device_name_set to set the Bluetooth name. When I use the upper computer command to trigger the call to the sd_ble_gap_device_name_set function and disconnect, the device name does not change. Are there any restrictions on the use of this function? Of course, the modification at initialization was successful.

Hi Soloman,

The sd_ble_gap_device_name_set() function can be called at any time to update the GAP device name as long as the SoftDevice is enabled. However, the advertisement payload must be updated to reflect the name change. Please refer to this post:
