The Power Profiler app v4.2.0 release notes say:
"Updated PPK2 firmware to v1.2.0, which adds COM port for shell access"
Are there any instructions available how to use the PPK2 COM port for shell access?

Hello,
Yeah I guess it being mentioned in the release notes like that without bewing mentioned in the documentation can be a bit confusing. The reason why is that it is not really meant for general use by customers. It won't really be of much use to customers unless they need something specific debugged.
If you really want to try using it, you can open a terminal from the nRF Terminal App on the other port that the kit exposes. Though we won't really help out with this unless there is an actual need for it.

Ok, thanks for the info. I was hoping that it would enable reading the current consumption through the shell access without the Power profiler GUI.
