Issue about iPad Pencil icon

Dear Nordic Engineers

Our client wants to make an iPad Pencil, but they are facing a problem: when searching for Bluetooth devices in the [Settings] - [Bluetooth] page, the icon for the Pencil device appears as a pen, but when the Pencil device is paired with the iPad via Bluetooth and viewed in the [Widgets] - [Battery] page, the icon for the connected Pencil device is not a pen. Is there any way to resolve this issue?

Additionally, the customer is using the nRF5 SDK, and has set the pen appearance in both advertising  package and GAP initialization.

Hi,

When the appearance is set in both the advertising and for the gatt service, then that should be enough.

I suggest checking if the Appearance Characteristic of the GAP Service has the correct value, using nRF Connect for Desktop or nRF Connect for Mobile. Is the characteristic present on the device, and what value does it have?
