nrf connect extension for vs code unable to install toolchains onto d: drive in windows

I'm trying to install the 2.7.0 toolchain into D:/NCS/   somehow the toolchain manager frequently installs in a different path than the one specificied in the extensions settings. 

Also I'm sometimes getting this error:

error: the argument '--install-dir <PATH>' cannot be used multiple times Usage: nrfutil toolchain-manager install [OPTIONS] <--ncs-version <VERSION>|--toolchain-bundle-id <HASH>|--toolchain-bundle <PATH>> For more information, try '--help'.

Hi Anthony,

Could you try to uninstall the SDKs and Toolchains that you have installed so far.

Then open the nRF Connect for Desktop app -> Toolchain Manager -> Settings and then please change the path information here:

After this, please try installing the SDKs from the Toolchain Manager:
