Battery thingy91

Hello everyone,

I am working on a project with a Thingy91 that has an nRF52840 and an nRF9160, and I am trying to read the battery level. I want to measure this battery level every minute and display it using a print.

I have seen that the ADP536X sensor can be used to read the battery level, but I am not sure I fully understand how to proceed. Could anyone provide an example code or guide me on how to read the battery level?

Hello,

you can consider using %XVBAT command. That should read out the battery voltage of the thingy91 battery.

Thanks for your answer but I want to measure it automatically in my program which is actually measuring temperature and humidity. Is there a way to add a few lines of code in C to measure the battery continuously?

Depends on what "a few lines" means, ADP536X - read voltage

Just to mention:

Depending on you plans, reading the bat. voltage every minute may mainly show, that exactly that "read" is draining the battery ;-).
