Use External host with NRF5340dk as le audio controller

Hi,
I have been trying to use my esp host mcu with nrf5340dk as a controller.I am using the hci_uart application with CONFIG_BT_LL_ACS_NRF53 =y to include le audio support as a controller. The issue is that I am getting an unknown hci command error on the host when I try to send a command to nrf5340dk.

I am quite uncertain about whether I can use the NRf5340dk board for this or the NRf5340dk audio kit.

Hello,

Not tested this in any way, but if I were to try this, I would have tried:

First build the audio application, and then find which kconfig options are set for the controller in that build.

Then you also apply those configurations when you build the hci_uart (I suspect you need more than just CONFIG_BT_LL_ACS_NRF53=y).

If you still have problems, then I suggest you try to find exactly which hci command that is unknown.

Searching a bit in the source code I could at least find this define that seems relevant here:
